Joseph Lafleur
With over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, Joseph began his career at Walwyn, Stodgell, Cochran and Murray (now Midland Walwyn). He subsequently worked for TD Waterhouse and Canaccord Capital, where he developed a financial advisory practice catering to high-net-worth individuals, institutional clients, and corporate finance. Joseph has closely collaborated with several technology companies throughout their IPO processes and was a member of TD Evergreens Advisory Board, playing a key role in establishing their private banking and wealth management division.
He also founded a venture capital firm that helped companies with capital raises. Most recently, Joseph served as the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Polyalgorithm Machine Learning, a Waterloo-based technology company specializing in AI and machine learning solutions for the manufacturing, banking, healthcare, and government sectors. Additionally, he is an assessor for NGEN, responsible for grant approval for funding applicants.
Joseph has previously held a position as a Board Director for Windfall Geotek, an AI firm providing geological services to the mining industry. He studied business at Wilfrid Laurier University and takes pride in his active involvement in various associations and charitable organizations in the Waterloo Region. Joseph was a member of the Urbanization Committee, served as Past Chairperson for the Grant Committee for the City of Waterloo, and participated in the athletics finance committee for WLU.
