The Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA) came into effect in October of 2021 and set a deadline of October 18, 2026, for share capital social clubs to be compliant with their new rules. Many organizations have not completed the process and are leaving themselves exposed to significant legal and administration risks.
We help Ontario membership-based not-for-profits become ONCA-compliant—quickly, confidently, and without overpaying law firms. Our support is intended to enhance and improve organizational governance capacities and effectiveness through by-law compliance with ONCA rules regarding director duties, member rights, financial reviews, and virtual meetings.
