Fred Galloway
Fred Galloway is an Executive in Residence with Capacity Canada and President of F. J. Galloway Associates Inc., of London, Ontario. His work has involved community-based, not-for-profit, municipal and private organizations across Canada specializing in effective Board governance processes, practices and modelling; organizational development; leadership development; and other areas for over 35 years. Clients have included sports clubs and associations, YMCAs, municipal recreation departments, children and adult social service agencies, school boards and post secondary institutions, tourism and tournament operators, and other not for profit community organizations.
Fred has been an active board volunteer for many community organizations, holding senior officer roles. He was on the Board of Governors of Fanshawe College, including Board Chair; was the Vice Chair of Sports Services for the 2001 Canada Summer Games; Vice Chair, Finance, for the 2005 Memorial Cup; and a Vice Chair for five sets of Ontario Games. He was also Chair of the Monsignor Feeney Foundation, the London Community Foundation and the King’s University College Foundation. He was a member of the Kings University College Board of Directors and Chair of the Governance Committee.
Fred holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Waterloo, Master of Science Degree in Planning from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Western Ontario’s Ivey School of Business. In 2002, he was awarded an Honorary Diploma from Fanshawe College for community service, and in 2016 he was granted the Governor General’s Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers.
