Peter Rizakos is a seasoned corporate and commercial lawyer and strategic senior executive with over forty years of exceptional leadership across the financial services sector and beyond. After a distinguished tenure with BLAKES, one of Canada’s most prestigious law firms, Peter founded and built the legal department at Altamira Investment Services Inc., where he also served as a key member of the senior management team. Under his guidance, Altamira grew into a national leader in independent asset management, overseeing mutual fund, institutional, and private equity portfolios with a staff of more than 250 professionals. Peter played a pivotal role in the high-profile sale of Altamira to the National Bank of Canada in 2002, a transaction that stands as a benchmark in the industry.

Over the past several decades, Peter has provided strategic legal and business counsel to organizations in asset and wealth management, natural resources, and medical research, helping them achieve growth, compliance, and market success.

Peter has extensive corporate governance experience.  He has advised boards, committees, and senior executives on corporate governance best practices, fiduciary duties, and regulatory compliance across public, private, and regulated entities.
